Sharing In Your Sorrow

This card is for this week's SCS Free For All challenge to use something new, I chose to use my new SU Close As A Memory stamp set which is quickly becoming one of my new favs!

The base of this card is 5x5 and is done in White Watercolor CS (card stock). The matting is done with Basic Brown and the main image is also done in White Watercolor CS. I used one of my Spellbinder's Nestabilities Square templates and sponged inside it using Versa Magic Wheat. Then I colored directly onto my rubber stamp with Regal Rose, then did the tips of the flowers with Rose Red and the stems with Mellow Moss and Old Olive. I stamped the image over the sponged square, then added the sentiment which is done with Soft Suede and is from the Thoughts & Prayers set. Next I used my tiny slit punch and punched on either side of the flowers stems then ran my Mellow Moss ribbon through the punches so it would not cover up my flowers. Then to cover the slits I added the larger white pearls over the top of them and attached my bow.

Finally I added the little gold pearls to the centers of the flowers and two larger ones to the side of the image and... VOILA!!

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy your weekend!!

  1. What a beautiful card Heather! I love how you've done the ribbon and the lovely softness to the flowers.
