Lissy's Card

This card was made by my 8 year old daughter Lissy.  She is my little crafting partner and she has gotten quite good at putting her cards together, she has even learned how to use most of the craft tools.

Everytime I get home from work, she always says "Mom, can we go make a card?"

She is certainly a little girl who takes after her mama!

Anyway, show her some love and leave her a comment telling her what you think of her first official uploaded card.

A Blue Christmas

This is the card that I made for the Viva La Verve sketch challenge for November week number four sketch.

I was very pleased with how this card came out, one of my favorite cards that I have ever made and that says a lot because I am a tough critic of my own work!

The colors on this card are Basic Gray, Pool Party, Black, White and Silver and I think they scream winter wonderland!

The image on my card is from the Verve set Ornamental Christmas... I just love that set! The snowflake border punch is from Martha Stewart and the glittery plastic snowflake came from Michaels in the Christmas section.

The sketch I used was the Viva La Verve week 4 challenge sketch shown here:

Loved this sketch, I had so many fun ideas running through my head the minute I saw it... that Teresa is such an awesome stamper!

Anyway, hope you are having a fabulous day!

Merry Christmas To You

This is the card that I made for the Viva La Verve sketch challenge for November week number three sketch.

I am a little late getting this posted to my blog, but better late than never, that's how I see it!

Anyway, I didn't win the Verve prize of $100 store credit, but I had fun playing along anyways with all of the beautiful sketches for the month.

Here is the sketch that this card was derived from:

Anyways, I should get back to work now!

Hope you have a safe and happy holiday... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The image on this card is a set by Stampin' Up called Lovely As A Tree and was stamped onto watercolor paper using Old Olive Stampin' Up ink and then I used the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up Marker directly onto the stamp for the trunk of the tree.  The woodgrain embossing folder used on the background is by Darcie and the designer paper used on this card was from a DCWV Christmas mat stack. The button is from Stampin' Up and the jingle bell, twine, ribbon, lace and vintage metal photo corner were all purchased at Joann Fabrics. The ink color used on the embossed background panel is Stampin' Up Crumb Cake and it was done using a finger dauber, also purchased at Joann Fabrics.

Hopefully I covered it all and thank you for stopping by today!
